The artist who drew this nicely done work was Robert Holewinski. Its called "Young couple in Florence" its a oil painting on water color paper. The painting shows a young couple kissing , it appears that he came to her house. I say that because she's the one standing at the door with it open and she's on the doorstep. It also looks like she lives in an apartment building too. I say that because the tile and the discoloration on the wall. To conclude onto that the color that is repeated is only the tiles and the wall and in the boys clothes. The way the lines are drawn kind of repeat. They all look the same in a way. They all have like the same colors and are seen a couple times in this like the window, tile , door, side part of building. And the boys jacket. The color black is also a repetition it shows black a lot . They are using like coolish colors for this . I think the color combination is really good , they all go together. The paintings quality looks good .But his inspiration for this was that couple he saw in real life . He said " This is a painting of a young couple I saw in Florence just outside the ancient building that was my hotel. It was good to see them and to hear them laughing and being totally unaware of any other people." From what I can tell is he really enjoyed watching this young couple be them and not care. He enjoyed hearing them laugh together and just enjoyed them being together being them. This was good painting but I don't believe it should be at 800 the price he wanted. Yes it was good but there should have been more in the drawling like maybe their faces should have been clearer for us to see them. Expressions show what is really going on without saying it. Or maybe a more realistic picture to show us it was real people and not just a random idea. Adding to that he should of added more to where they were , it could have just been anywhere and we don't even know. Basically he could have just included more to it,

Marisol, I love your insight on the location that the painting took place as well as your judgement of its value. This is a wonderful critique. My only suggestion is to make indentations to divide paragraphs if blogger will let you.
